Climbing Key
The Greek Key is perhaps the most popular of all motifs, with endless variations in architecture, woodworking, and jewelry – my own wedding ring, now that I think of it. In this piece, the Key is formed by a diagonal cut across the body of the sculpture, which consists of five jade-green columns. The Key is finished in bright bronze, starkly contrasting with the deep green of the columns. The columns are quite massive, giving the piece a physical presence worthy of the Key.
